MyRapidMD Launches Cellular ESP Service
MyRapidMD, a personal mobile content developer, is announcing the release of Emergency Service Profile (ESP) v2 for cell phones.
The proprietary ESP application allows users to create their own Emergency Service Profile installed on their cell phone. The potentially lifesaving feature can provide first responders at the scene of an accident access to your photo identification and information that could be crucial in treating the emergency situation, and this can be done without a service connection.
Used by first responders, ESP is a global based emergency assessment protocol that delivers critical information to responders at emergency scenes. The system does not store unnecessary personal information such as social security, address or financial records; only what will be useful in an emergency. ESP was designed to give first responders immediate access to critical information on individuals involved in an accident or medical emergency so they can treat users more efficiently and accurately.
"Time and quality information are your best hope for survival in an emergency. ESP just makes too much sense; a ring tone, movie or game on your cell phone is not going to help me save the life of your child, your senior parent or you in an emergency or accident," said Chief Richard Cole, MyRapidMD’s Chairman of the- Emergency Services Advisory Board.
Most service providers and cell or smart phone handsets, including Blackberries, are compatible with ESP service.
